CAMP RULES

Castle Knights campsite is a boutique, rustic, camping field next to castle walls. Enjoy a festival style atmosphere and pitch your tent close to amenities.
We have an extensive kitchen block equipped with gas hobs, microwave, fridges and sinks, so you can relax in to the camping experience - pans, plates and cutlery available. We even have a BBQ hut so you can BBQ whatever the weather.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO OVEN ON SITE.

Campsite guests have access to the castle grounds (with the exception of private events and weddings please check the castle calendar for these). Usk Castle is a scheduled ancient monument and family home, so please respect the conditions detailed here.
The campsite has three modern day toilets housed in a medieval style block and two powerful hot showers.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Open from May to October each year. Minimum 2 night stay (single nights on request by email)

Our site can not accommodate Caravans or Mobile homes - access to the site is steep and our site is small.
We are limited to two campervan pitches a day. Please book in as 'pitch your campervan' so we know to expect you and can show you where to park up.
Our camping pitch sizes are 4x4m as a standard, if your tent is larger than this please email us to let us know and add the "XL Tent" extra at booking. So we can ensure we have the space to accommodate you.

Pitch up from 2pm, check out by 11am. Drop off point for unloading at turning circle in campsite, and parking in the carpark or paddock- there is no parking on the camping field itself.

HAPPY CAMPERS
Pitch your tent for just £12 per night per adult and £10 per child per stay. Explore the castle grounds, light a campfire and toast marshmallows under the stars.
The kitchen is available to all of our guests, glamping or camping.
Pots and pans are provided alongside a range of crockery. Although we do recommend you bring your own tea!
Plenty of seating is available for the whole family. Choose a bench or simply sit around the fire pit.

CREATURE COMFORTS
GROUP BOOKINGS AND RETREATS
The campsite can be booked exclusively for your group- be it a reunion, retreat or birthday celebration.
If you have booked your wedding at Usk Castle, you have the option to rent all of our accommodation for your guests with a 10% discount which really makes the most of your special day. Weddings can be booked by contacting events@uskcastle.com. These are held only within the castle grounds- not in the campsite.

We hosted a very successful Equine photography retreat last year, and are happy to help recommend caterers and suppliers to make your event unique.
​
Please note exclusive hire of the campsite does not include use of the castle grounds for your event. These need to be hired in addition to the campsite.

As well as running Castle Knights, we also host events on the Usk Castle estate.
Festival style weddings have been hosted on our farm land, with a 12x24m traditional pole marquee available to hire for weddings either on the farm or at the castle.
Other events on the farm have included the successful and much loved Croissant Neuf festival, the National Archery Championships and the National Land Rover Rally 2013. Currently we host Big Love festival each summer.
